Oktoberfest Experiences

The Oktoberfest History, Tent, Beer and Food Experience takes place on: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays
  • SMALL GROUP TOUR - UP TO 10 GUESTS
  • Guide clad in traditional clothing (Lederhosen or Dirndl)
  • Bavarian Weisswurst Frühstuck and beer (Traditional Breakfast) in the Historic Area of the Oktoberfest
  • Private guided tour for 2 hours of the Oktoberfest Theresienwiese park grounds
    • Showing you some of the oldest and most unique rides and attractions
    • Get into most of the Large Tents on the festival grounds
    • Learn how the reservation free area of each large tent works and changes day to day
    • Learn the history of most of the large beer tents
    • See pictures and hear stories about the truly historic 200+ year old Oktoberfest that started in 1810
    • Tour of the Oide Wiesn (Old Oktoberfest) many visitors don't even know exists and free entrance to use all day

The Oktoberfest Reservation Experience takes place on: Monday - Friday
  • Guide clad in traditional clothing (Lederhosen or Dirndl)
  • Unlike other reservations at the Oktoberfest, we don't just mail you tickets and make you figure out how it works (which is not allowed by the tents). With us you have a personal concierge to help you get acclimated to the largest beer festival in the world
  • Meet group at the entrance to the tent and we will escort you to your table (no searching tables for the company name)
  • Introductions to wait staff as well as ordering procedures
  • Order you your first beer and a meal
  • Oktoberfest VIP table reservations in a box seat, the middle of the tent, or on a balcony box seat
  • Traditional Brotzeitteller (meats, cheese and bread appetizer platter)
  • 2 Maß of beer (1 Liter glasses) and a meal (depends on tent specialty)
  • Guided etiquette to ordering beer, food, festival rides and attractions, and beer drinking songs and much more
  • Tips and tricks to the secrets of Oktoberfest (the locals' insights) with maps of Munich and the park grounds

Oktoberfest Experiences Availability 
We will have guaranteed reservations on every day during the Festival for you to enjoy on a:
  • Beer, Brewery and Oktoberfest Experience (Mon, Wed, Fri. each week)
  • Oktoberfest Festzelt, Beer and Food Experience (Mon, Tues, Thur. each week)
  • Reservation Experience (Monday-Friday each week)
All Oktoberfest tent reservations are confirmed for The Thirsty Historian by the tents themselves starting in March through August 2021, dependent on the tent owners schedules. We will update you upon our confirmations.
Prices and Options
  • Starting at €150 for the Reservation Experience including 2 Liters of beer and a meal per person and a huge snack platter with at least 4 hours on a table in a large tent. 
  • Starting at €250 for Beer, Brewery and Oktoberfest Experience from 9am until 4:30pm with traditional breakfast, small tour in Munich's old town, private brewery tour, transport tickets, Festival reservations for at least 4 hours with a huge snack platter for the table, 2 Liters of beer and a meal each. 
  • Starting at €250 for Beer and Oktoberfest Beer, Tent and Food Experience from 9am until 4:30pm that takes in more of the Oktoberfest Theresienwiese park grounds and all it has to offer! The tour starts with a traditional breakfast in the historic area of the Festival that includes sausage and fresh Augustiner Beer. We will then show you the unique rides, take you inside many of the large beer tents (now at least 16 'Tents' seating 3,000-10,000 each!), pictures in front of the 'Welcome to Oktoberfest' sign and so much more. This finishes with reservations for at least 4 hours on a table in a large tent with a huge snack platter, 2 Liters of beer and a meal for each person.​ ​

Table Reservations

With up to 400,000 people per day at the Oktoberfest, finding a seat is almost impossible. Let us reserve you a seat with a VIP entrance and a table reserved just for our small group. We keep the group small enough to fit at one table so all have a great time together for at least 4 hours.

The Thirsty Historian provides a full traditional breakfast, homemade Oktoberfest beer at a local brewery, large Brotzeitteller snack platter at the Oktoberfest table, 2 Maß (liters) of beer and a specialty meal of the festival tent for each person.

Private Brewery Tour

On the Beer, Brewery and Oktoberfest Experience, we will take you to a local craft brewery very close to the Oktoberfest grounds. Here you will get a private brewery tour for 40 minutes and a fresh homemade Oktoberfest beer only found here while providing history and information about Munich's rich beer and brewing culture.

Highlights of Oktoberfest Tour

On the Oktoberfest Highlights Experience, we will give you insight into many secrets on the Oktoberfest park grounds. You receive paid access to the historic area of the Fest and enjoy a traditional breakfast. We will then walk you through the large and often confusing park to see and enjoy unique carnival rides and snacks, view the inside of many large beer tents with history and information of each location and so much more.

​At the main entrance we will stop for pictures of the famous 'Willkommen zum Oktoberfest' sign. We will then have reservations for you in a large tent nearby with beer and food included.
