Oktoberfest Experiences

Join our Oktoberfest tours that are unlike anything you can get anywhere else. We want you to experience Oktoberfest like a true Bavarian on a private tour or small group tour with no more than 8 people; a perfect amount to fit on one table and share stories!

During the over 4 hours of table reservations at Oktoberfest we provide a typical Bavarian three course meal included with the cost of the tour:
  1. Charcuterie style meat and cheese platter with pretzels, 
  2. Large dish of a variety of Bavarian pork, duck, chicken, and beef specialties with local side dishes 
  3. Specialty dessert unique to each Tent/Festzelt
  4. (2) Huge Liter mugs of Oktoberfest Beer

The Oktoberfest Insiders Experience takes place on: Tuesdays and Thursdays​
  • SMALL GROUP guided tour for 3 hours of downtown Munich and Oktoberfest grounds followed by at least 4 hours of guaranteed Table Reservations in a large 'Beer Tent'
  • A Traditional Weisswurst breakfast in the Old town with history. 
  • Extended time to explore the vast the festival ground that is as big as 85 football fields
  • Behind the scenes inside 9+ of the Large Tents
  • Pictures and stories about the truly historic 200+ year old Oktoberfest that started in 1810
  • Get a true insiders/behind the scenes look at one of the most amazing festivals in the world
  • History and traditions of the Oktoberfest
  • Guide will stay with you at least 2 hours into your reservation at Oktoberfest

The Beer, Brewery and Oktoberfest Experience takes place Monday - Friday​
  • SMALL GROUP guided tour for 3 hours in Munich and at a local brewery followed by at least 4 hours of guaranteed Table Reservations in a large 'Beer Tent'
  • A short downtown beer history tour in Munich after a Traditional Weisswurst breakfast
  • Private guided brewery tour for 40 minutes with homemade Oktoberfest beer only available at that location
  • History and traditions of the Oktoberfest
  • Guide will stay with you at least 2 hours into your reservation at Oktoberfest
  • Public transport tickets

Oktoberfest Experiences Availability 
We will have guaranteed reservations on multiple days during the Festival for you to enjoy on a:
  • Beer, Brewery and Oktoberfest Experience (Monday - Friday each week)
  • The Oktoberfest Insiders Experience (Tuesday and Thursday each week)
All Oktoberfest tent reservations are confirmed for The Thirsty Historian by the tents themselves starting in March through August 2025, dependent on the tent owners schedules. We will update you upon our confirmations.
Prices and Options​
  • Starting at €275 for Beer, Brewery and Oktoberfest Experience from 9am until 4:30pm with traditional breakfast, small tour in Munich's old town, private brewery tour, transport tickets, Festival reservations for at least 4 hours with a huge snack platter for the table, 2 Liters of beer and a meal each. 
  • Starting at €275 for Beer and Oktoberfest Beer, Tent and Food Experience from 9am until 4:30pm that takes in more of the Oktoberfest Theresienwiese park grounds and all it has to offer! The tour starts with a traditional breakfast in the historic area of the Festival that includes sausage and fresh Augustiner Beer. We will then show you the unique rides, take you inside many of the large beer tents (now at least 16 'Tents' seating 3,000-10,000 each!), pictures in front of the 'Welcome to Oktoberfest' sign and so much more. This finishes with reservations for at least 4 hours on a table in a large tent with a huge snack platter, 2 Liters of beer and a meal for each person.​ ​​

Table Reservations

With up to 400,000 people per day at the Oktoberfest, finding a seat is almost impossible. Let us reserve you a seat with a VIP entrance and a table reserved just for our small group. We keep the group small enough to fit at one table so all have a great time together for at least 4 hours.

Food and Drinks included

The Thirsty Historian provides a full traditional breakfast, homemade Oktoberfest beer at a local brewery, large Brotzeitteller snack platter at the Oktoberfest table, 2 Maß (liters) of beer and a specialty meal of the festival tent for each person.

Private Brewery Tour

On the Beer, Brewery and Oktoberfest Experience, we will take you to a local craft brewery very close to the Oktoberfest grounds. Here you will get a private brewery tour for 40 minutes and a fresh homemade Oktoberfest beer only found here while providing history and information about Munich's rich beer and brewing culture.

Highlights of Oktoberfest Tour

On the Oktoberfest Highlights Experience, we will give you insight into many secrets on the Oktoberfest park grounds. You receive paid access to the historic area of the Fest and enjoy a traditional breakfast. We will then walk you through the large and often confusing park to see and enjoy unique carnival rides and snacks, view the inside of many large beer tents with history and information of each location and so much more.

​At the main entrance we will stop for pictures of the famous 'Willkommen zum Oktoberfest' sign. We will then have reservations for you in a large tent nearby with beer and food included.
