Bavarian Tour of a Lifetime

Levi and John were the perfect tour guides to lead my group around Bavaria. My group of 19 people came to Germany to learn more about the brewing industry in Germany. We were lucky to find the perfect tour guides with their extensive knowledge on the subject as well their historical knowledge of Bavaria. I was amazed by their knowledge of not only Munich, but also the smaller towns located in Bavaria. The trip would not have been nearly as enjoyable without the Thirsty Historian!

Three days well-spent
My husband and I spent three days with Levi on tours in Bavaria. Each excursion was tailored perfectly to the subject at hand, varying from a tour of Dachau that was both informative and sobering to days spent hiking, stopping for well-timed beer breaks, and playing mini golf in the shadows of Neuschwanstein Castle. The continuous string of perfect TA reviews caught my eye when I was planning the Munich part of our vacation. After our time with The Thirsty Historian, I understand completely. Levi's passion for his job, knowledge of German history and culture, easygoing personality and kindness deserves each glowing post-tour review. Thank you for a great trip, see you next year!

Fantastic Voyage
What can we say? After reading all of the glowing reviews, we thought for sure the averages were being messed with by shills or the too-easily pleased...I mean, this guy CAN'T be this skilled, his tours that great, right?
Color us embarrassed...We were wrong. Embarrassingly wrong.
Levi (The Thirsty Historian himself) did right by us, and more. We did 2 Day Tours (The Oldest Brewery In The World Tour and The Beer Hike) and we learned so much about the history, culture and beer of Bavaria that our brains felt as full as our stomachs were at the end of each day. And yet all in the mellow tones of our guide, so we didn't even realize we were being filled full of cool and useful facts.
Also, he listens, and acts on it to the benefit of his customers. When we mentioned our interest in Schnapps (not really expecting anything, just in conversation), he went out of his way to find a Distillery, and took us there! This was not a place we ever would have found, as it was German speaking only and really only did tastings one day a week at a certain time. Also only in German. And yet he got us there, got us tastings and translated along the way.

Levi, we raise a tiny Schnapps glass to you and your '+5 Tours Of Awesomeness'!

When we come back to Munich, we WILL be contacting you again!
