Any visit to the Alps is a good day. Let us provide a memorable excursion outside of Munich to visit these highlights in the Berchtesgaden National Park in the Bavarian Alps. Königsee is a little-known lake just below Hitler's Alpine mountaintop headquarters during WWII. Join us on a visit to both destinations in one day.

We will provide a vehicle for transportation to these hard-to- reach places. Luxury vehicles available upon request.

The 2-hour drive will wind us through the Alps south of Munich, passing through some of the most picturesque scenes in all of Germany. We will stop along the way for the beautiful panoramas and one of the most famous picture sites in the country.

The Eagle's Nest was built on the Kehlstein mountain top towering over the town of Berchtesgaden. There is so much rich history for us to share with you about this location. The most impressive thing, however, is the outstanding natural beauty that can be seen from here. We stop for an hour or more for lunch and relaxation time to soak it all in before heading back down the mountain.

Next we head out to a nearby lake nestled in the cliffs of the Alps, Königsee. Here again we will be surrounded by natural wonders in a medieval village on the lake. We board a ferry to the chapel of St. Bartholomew with restaurant and biergarten near the end of the lake. Midway, we are serenaded by the sounds of a trumpet player in the echo walls of the lake. Once at the chapel, you will have free time to relax, explore or just have a beer at the biergarten.

After our ferry ride back you can visit the village's many shops and stands. Soon thereafter we head back to Munich.

OR

On our Multi-day tour we visit Tegernsee, Salzburg or Mittenwald and spend the night in a mountain hut with amazing views of the alps.

This tour starts at €765 for 2 people.

Tickets for the ferry and Eagles Nest are included. Food and beverages are not included.

Let us know if you are interested in Multi-day options and we would be happy to discuss them with you.

Please note: The Eagle's Nest (Kehlsteinhaus) is closed to visitors from late October - May every year because of the danger posed by icy/snowy roads. Trips from Munich are still possible to the area during this time to visit Lake Königsee and the Alps.
